The state government fisheries department required a new headquarters consolidating all their departments within one location. Jaytex worked closely with the Department of primary Industries and Resources to source land, design and construct a facility and implement a lease that met all their unique requirements.
The new complex is complete with 850m2 premium open plan office space with meeting and training facilities and end of trip amenities. We delivered a state-of-the-art laboratory, including fume cabinets, vinyl flooring and stainless steel work benches. The 1,000m2 warehouse was a large span portal frame construction, with large circulation fans for Territory conditions, commercial roller doors and a 100kw solar system. The exterior of the facility is fully landscaped with undercover car parking for customers and government issued vehicles.
Jaytex Construction committed to using local subcontractors and suppliers for all aspects of the project to fulfil government requirements and align with our ‘Buy Local Policy’ and commitment to supporting our local economy.
Fisheries Headquarters is a prime example of Jaytex Construction's multi-faceted capability, integrating our development and government construction expertise to deliver a functional, contemporary solution that will provide value to the local economy for many years to come.
