OUR HISTORY
From humble beginnings to a leader in commercial, industrial, civil and government construction projects.
Jaytex Construction began with a wheelbarrow, a ute, and a clear vision. From humble beginnings in Darwin in 1997, founder Brett Dixon set out to build something enduring - rooted in hard work, quality craftsmanship, and a genuine respect for people and place.
What started with concreting driveways and footpaths soon expanded to larger civil works, including a breakthrough kerbing project at Darwin International Airport, which opened the door to international opportunities throughout Asia.
Through Brett’s strong work ethic and personable approach, Jaytex quickly earned a reputation for being fair, collaborative, and dependable, a reputation that still defines the business today.
In 2015, Brett relocated to Adelaide to be closer to family, where he turned his attention to bespoke residential design and construction. This move marked a new chapter for Jaytex, as he entrusted the company’s future to business partner Matthew Moss - a proud South Australian who grew up in Adelaide and shared Brett’s values and vision for the company.
Today, under Matthew’s leadership as Managing Director, Jaytex continues to thrive as a privately owned, family-run construction company. The business has a growing presence in , with its directors living locally and are hands-on in operations across South Australia and the Northern Territory.
Matthew has carefully built on Brett’s foundations, guiding Jaytex to become one of the most progressive and trusted construction companies in the NT, while expanding its footprint and reputation in SA. The company’s success is driven by an unwavering commitment to safety, quality, design innovation, and exceptional client service -hallmarks of the Jaytex name for over two decades.
