This project included the demolition of the existing boarding house and the Design and Construct of a new facility to accommodate 60 students, including self-contained bedroom and bathroom units, shared living spaces and office accommodation. We worked with the principal and stakeholders to capture all their requirements to create a fun, modern and functional education and living space for prospective students.
The design of the building incorporates four wings, joined by a central arcade area. Featuring beautiful timber cladding on the exterior and a range of acoustic treatment and playful lighting, the building also boasts a 99.9kw solar system.
Jaytex also delivered a basketball court, landscaping & asphalt works. Demolition works included safe removal of asbestos in line with our comprehensive accredited WHS Management Plan.
Delivered in an operational school, Jaytex enforced robust safety protocols, logistics and smart scheduling of the works to minimise disruption to school schedules, especially during exam periods.
We consulted with the school early during the tender process to develop a robust program in line with their schedule. Open communication was fostered throughout the construction period and resulted in a harmonious construction period with minimal disruption.
