MATES Flag Flies High for Mental Health at Monde

Reflecting on Fly the Flag Week for MATES in Construction, we proudly raised a MATES flag on the tower crane at our Monde, Kent Town Project.

Established in 2008, MATES is a not for profit charity providing suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and a 24/7 help line.

Fly the Flag is an important initiative that raises awareness about mental health and suicide prevention in the construction industry. It serves as a visible reminder of the collective responsibility we share in supporting one another, both on and off the worksite.

While the flag was high, the Monde team & subbies came together for coffee and conversation during the week. Thanks to our neighbours at Homeland Café, the crew were able to enjoy a coffee, check in, speak up, and stand together for mental health awareness in the construction industry.

We’re grateful for MATES in Construction, and will continue to support their movement to break down mental health stigma and foster meaningful conversations.
