Jaytex celebrates success at UDIA NT Gala Dinner
On Saturday 12th October, Jaytex Construction attended the prestigious Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) Northern Territory Gala Dinner, an event that recognises excellence and leadership within the construction industry.
It was a night to celebrate the industry's best, and Jaytex was honoured to be recognised among the winners.
Jaytex Construction proudly took home the Sustainability Award for our work on the APA Darwin project, where we successfully met the sustainability parameters set out by Green Star and NABERS.
This included 5* NABERS equivalency, a fully-integrated Building Management System, capturing natural light where possible, the installation of a 65kw solar energy system with 176 panels and two inverters, external glazing low-e glass as well as glare reduction using blinds to reduce cooling demand, low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) paints and materials, incorporation of engineered timbers, use of recycled water for concreting works, native landscaping, and the inclusion of two electric car charging stations.
This project exemplifies our commitment to creating sustainable, future-focused developments in the Northern Territory.
Additionally, our Darwin Corporate Park project was awarded in the Masterplanned Communities category, recognising our dedication to building high-quality, thoughtfully designed spaces that contribute to the growth and development of Darwin.
We were proud to deliver this successful project with careful consideration and planning made in the initial pre-construction stages to maximise the use of space and accommodate for future projects within the precinct.
The end result was a high quality workplace environment for bet365’s employees with a bright, modern and comfortable fit out.
We are also thrilled to highlight our Project Director, Jess Gibson, who was named a finalist for the Young Achiever Award.
Jess’ leadership, dedication, and passion for the industry continue to inspire our team, and we couldn’t be prouder of her achievement.
The evening was a celebration of the outstanding work being done across the Northern Territory, and we are grateful to the UDIA for hosting such a fantastic event.
These awards reinforce our mission to deliver sustainable, innovative projects that positively shape the future of the region.
