Project Completion! Parap Preschool
Jaytex Construction is proud to announce the successful completion of the Parap Preschool redevelopment, delivering a contemporary, purpose-built early learning facility designed to support more than 60 children from the 2026 school year.
Commissioned by the Northern Territory Department of Logistics and Infrastructure, the project provides a modern, flexible learning environment that fosters creativity, connection and early development. The upgraded facility features two classrooms linked by a central multipurpose hub, alongside dedicated administrative areas, staff amenities, and welcoming breakout zones designed to support both educators and families.
Externally, the preschool offers engaging outdoor learning and play environments, complemented by a secure entry courtyard, landscaped surroundings and an 18-bay car park. These spaces have been carefully designed to encourage exploration, play and interaction in a safe and accessible setting.
Designed by ROSSI Architects, the building pays tribute to Parap’s aviation heritage through distinctive architectural elements, including wing-inspired roof forms, curved internal finishes and porthole-style windows. These features combine to create a unique and memorable environment that reflects the character of the local area.
Jaytex delivered high-quality classrooms, flexible learning spaces, and thoughtfully designed quiet areas, along with vibrant outdoor zones incorporating water play, murals, and edible gardens. The result is a welcoming and dynamic facility that supports a variety of learning experiences.
The project was proudly delivered in collaboration with more than 70 Northern Territory subcontractors and suppliers, reinforcing Jaytex’s commitment to supporting local industry. Through strong partnerships with the client and project stakeholders, the team ensured the facility was completed in time for the upcoming school year.
This milestone highlights Jaytex’s ongoing partnership with the Northern Territory Government in delivering meaningful community infrastructure—creating spaces that will benefit families and the wider community for years to come.
